Department to Host AID2000
WPI has been selected as the site for AID2000, the 6th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Design, to be held during 26-29 June 2000, with workshops on advanced topics to be held prior to the conference on June 24th and 25th.
The first conference in the series was held at Edinburgh University, Scotland in 1991, the second at CMU in Pittsburgh, USA in 1992, the third at EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland in 1994, the fourth at Stanford University, USA in 1996, and the most recent during July at IST in Lisbon, Portugal. About 150 participants are expected from over 20 countries. Prof. David Brown, Computer Science Dept., will serve as the local organizor for AID2000.
