Research Bytes
If it's the beginning of the Fall semester means that it's time again for Research Bytes!
This is a series of short Colloquium talks, where each CS faculty member has a brief time slot (e.g., 10 minutes) to present his/her research interests, and possibly propose projects to students.
The Research Bytes series has the following objectives:
- To serve as a good introduction to the department for the new graduate and undergraduate students (and the new faculty!) and help them identify sooner who works on what.
- To encourage new graduate students to start participating in our colloquium and research group seminars right away.
- To help 1st year and undecided 2nd year graduate students identify research projects and advisors that they can work with.
- To help us recruit students for our research projects early in the academic year.
- To help us recruit students for our MQPs early in the academic year.
- To provide a wide survey of CS topics that extends and enhances our course offerings.
