Ray Scott & Steve Alpert
We received the following news from CS faculty member Mike Gennert:
This past Sunday Kim and I, and Debby McDonald (Department Secretary) and husband Jim, were guests at the wedding of June Scott and Donald Mentzer. June is the widow of Ray Scott, one of the founding members of the CS Department. The wedding was beautiful, made all the more so by the inclusion of June's children, Ross and Susan, and Don's grown children.
June and Don really looked the perfect couple, and everyone is thrilled for them and their family. They will live in June's house. Having to buy a much, much larger dining room table for the holidays was a running joke during the reception.
Susan is now married and living in Attleboro; Ross graduates in May from WPI. You may have seen his MQP presentation last December.
At the reception following, we sat at a table with former CS Department Head Steve Alpert, his wife Grace, and their son Jason. Jason, majoring in ME Aero at WPI, also will graduate in May. Steve asked me to pass along his regards to the Department.
