Twenty Five Years

This year marks the 25th year of WPI CS service for Prof. Stanley M. Selkow.
Stanley says that it feels like "Just yesterday... The department was in Washburn, Steve Alpert was Head, Maddie was secretary, and the faculty were Bob Kinicki, Greg Scragg, Joe Soetens, Mary Hardell, Ray Scott, and Dave Brown."
He also notes that he was one of the first professors hired by the Département d'informatique et de recherche opérationnelle (DIRO) at the University of Montreal, his location before WPI. DIRO is celebrating its 40th anniversary this September. WPI CS is a little behind that, celebrating its 40th birthday in 2010.
