Teaching Computer Science: A Structured Discussion

Teaching is hard. New PhDs are thrust into teaching with little or no guidance. More experienced teachers rarely have a chance to think about their skills, and even less opportunity to pass them on. This colloquium, and possibly others to follow, will present basic teaching ideas, and will then offer discussion topics to allow the faculty in the department to exchange ideas, and recall teaching successes and failures.
