In this talk, I'll start by giving background on Case-Based Reasoning (CBR), such as its basic ingredients and types. Then I'll describe the integration of CBR with rule-based reasoning and some of the interesting coordination issues that arise in this combination. Next, I'll describe the integration of CBR with traditional information retrieval. Lastly, I'll address issues in "closing the loop": extracting information from retrieved text to plow back into CBR.
