Abstract

This lecture provides an overview of the research program in broadband wireless access at the Center for Wireless Information Network Studies, WPI. The talk starts with a historical overview of the events at the Center from 1985 until the current time and continues with an overview of the research program and contributions in the field. The research program has been focused on indoor propagation measurement and modeling, performance monitoring of wireless data networks, and wireless application developments. An overview of the projects is given and more specific scientific discoveries are detailed.
