Two Teaching Themes: Active Learning & Groups

Numerous studies have shown that students learn best through Active Learning, retaining more material for longer. Cooperative Learning is also a highly effective method for facilitating student learning.
In this talk, I will discuss these teaching methods and the barriers to their adoption. With a bit of creativity, the barriers can be overcome, enabling these techniques to be applied in a wide range of learning situations, as will be shown.
