A Grant, in Theory
The CS department's most recent grant winner is Prof. Gabor Sarkozy whose work in Graph Theory is internationally known.
The award is for research on "The Regularity Lemma and the Blow-up Lemma", sponsored by the National Security Agency, and is for one year, expiring in December 2000.
Most people say that getting a grant in more theoretical or mathematical areas of CS is very hard, so this makes his award even more notable.
