IBM Visualization Data Explorer Introduction
IBM Visualization Data Explorer (DX) is a software package designed for the
visualization of
scientific data. It uses a client/server model execution, and the server
provides cacheing of user data and execution of user programs.
DX supports many different ways of manipulating data, these
include:
Visualizations
- Scalar Data
- Color & Opacity Mapping
- Contours & Isosurfaces
- Histograms
- 2D & 3D Plotting
- Surface Deformation
- Vector Data
- Arrow Plots
- Streamlines
- Streaklines
Annotations
- Ribbons
- Tubes
- Axes
- Glyphs
- Text
- Meshes
- Boundaries
Non-graphical Functions
- Point-wize mathematical expressions
- Univariate Statistics
- Vector operations
- Interpolation & Triangulation
- Length, Volume & Area Computations
- Other Data Manipulation
