Liz and Craig,

I wanted to follow-up with a short note to provide you with some additional information in case you receive questions from faculty or other friends of Matt Ward asking about how to make a gift.

Individuals who would like to make a gift to WPI in Matt’s memory can:

·         make a gift online (www.wpi.edu/+give) – a note should be added in the comment box at the end of the giving form indicating that the gift in is memory of Matt Ward

·         mail a check, payable to WPI, to the address below – donors should include with their check a note indicated the gift is in memory of Matt Ward

Office of Annual Giving
Worcester Polytechnic Institute
100 Institute Road
Worcester, MA 01609-2280

In case it is helpful, there is also a summary of options for how to make memorial gifts online (http://www.wpi.edu/offices/giving/memorial.html).

Liz, I confirmed with our gift processing staff that since there isn’t an existing fund for student travel in BCB, any gifts that we receive will be put in “pending designation” with a notation that they are gifts in memory of Matt. I talked with Sam Steward this morning (Executive Director of Advancement Financial Services). He told me we can wait until we see how much money is raised, and then work with you and the family to finalize the details regarding specific purpose for these gifts and type of fund.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or if I can be of further help.

Best regards,

Monica
